Green Practices

Environmental Policy

The Directors of ARMA Connect Ltd recognise that the day-to-day operations of the organisation can impact upon the environment, both directly and indirectly. We aim to protect, and where possible improve, the environment through good management, adopting best practice whenever possible. We shall work to integrate environmental considerations into our business decisions and adopt greener alternatives throughout our operations wherever possible.

The Company shall adhere to the waste management hierarchy as outlined in the Waste (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2014. We regularly monitor our employees and supply chain to verify the presence and validity of registration certificates for all waste transportation, and have improved our practices to uphold the mandated separation of waste materials.

The Company shall follow the hierarchy outlined below:

– Prevention

– Preparing for re-use

– Recycling

– Recovery

– Disposal (last resort)

ARMA Connect Ltd is dedicated in its journey towards a more sustainable future, and to include updates to incorporate climate action plans under the Paris Agreement.

Evaluating our procedures and targets after changes to the Procurement Act 2023, UK Sustainability Reporting Standards, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and always developing our EMS standard for our ISO 14001 accreditation.

ARMA Connect shall be looking to develop our ESG Compliance, working with our client base and supply chain to meet their own targets for increased transparency and carbon reduction.

To meet these objectives, ARMA Connect shall:

1. Bring this Environmental Policy Statement to the attention of all stakeholders.

2. Comply fully with all relevant legal requirements, codes of practice and regulations at international, national and local levels.

3. Understand our compliance obligations and how to fulfil these; eliminate risk to the environment, where possible, through selection and design of materials, building facilities, equipment, and processes.

4. Ensure that emergency procedures are in place at all locations for dealing with environmental issues.

5. Establish objectives and targets to measure the continual improvement of our environmental performance, reviewing these annually by conducting regular audits of our environmental management system.

6. Identify and manage environmental risk and opportunities.

7. Improve the environmental efficiency of our transport and travel by improving record keeping methods and using calculator tools such as Sustainability School.

8. Minimise company waste and maintain company reuse or recycling methods.

9. Only engage suppliers that can demonstrate due regard to the environment, preventing pollution to land, air and water.

10. Promote environmentally responsible purchasing where possible by sourcing materials from sustainable suppliers where practicable.

11. Provide adequate resources to control environmental risks arising from our work activities.

12. Provide suitable training enabling employees to deal with their specific areas of environmental control and general awareness in other areas.

13. Where possible, seek to reduce the use of water, energy, and other natural resources.

Carbon Reduction Targets

ARMA Connect Ltd has been monitoring and recording various elements that contribute to our carbon emissions for many years.

Following ongoing training, we have dedicated time to reviewing our procedures in recording carbon reduction and working closely with our supply chain and their targets.

As such, from 1st January 2026, ARMA Connect shall commence a new method of data recording using the Sustainability Tool to meet the required standard of records, in line with legislation.

Using this data for a full year, ARMA Connect shall then have a baseline of its activities against which to set future targets:

– Scope 1 – sources directly owned or controlled by the organisation.

– Scope 2 – sources caused indirectly by the organisation’s energy consumption.

– Scope 3 – emissions not produced by the organisation, but which are a result of activities up and down the value chain.

Once gathered, ARMA Connect will analyse trends and assess areas for immediate and ongoing improvements, including:

Procuring the electricity consumed at head office from renewable sources.

Reviewing the company fleet upon renewal of each vehicle lease to evaluate the viability of transitioning to electric or hybrid.

Broadening training in Environmental Awareness via e-learning and regular HSEQ safety bulletins.

Maintaining our ISO 14001:2015 accreditation for environmental management.

Release of a Company Car scheme to our Business Development Managers, swapping business-related mileage to be carried out by electric vehicles.

Improving our environmental reporting requirements, onboarding and ongoing resubmissions.

Improving our working relationships and engagement with the supply chain to minimise environmental impacts and meet targets by attending seminars and the Sustainability School.

Our Environmental Policy (POL-002, Version 5) was last reviewed on 16/10/2025 and is next due for review on 16/10/2026.
